Here's Ishish ready for his walk!

Big Boy Table

Ishish decided a few weeks ago that he is too big to use the tray that comes with his booster seat. So now we pull it right up to the table. This has led to a few new issues. We're learning to not take food from other people's plates, to not touch other people with our sticky hands, and (ideally) to not spread the mess over the entire table. Here he's peeking at the peach slices he lined up under the paper towel.

He also had fun trying to balance a book on top of his car while pushing it.

Pieces and Counting

Ishish calls puzzles "pieces". He particularly likes playing with the pieces lately and sees them as a big board book, I think. I showed him how to use his stool to reach them.

He's also been practicing counting. He can go up to 10, skipping 7 and 8 every time.

Cats, Part 2

Once again, I'm going to try to keep up with stories for Dada to follow while he's gone. Today Ishish and our other cat, Kiks, had some nice interaction. She let him put blocks on top of her. He mimicked her by relaxing in a sunbeam. She also let him rub his head all over her. That's the most tolerant she's been! The picture I got didn't really turn out, so here's a standard cute one from yesterday.

Cats

Ishish decided it's time to become good friends with one of our other cats, Bucky. While Bucky is quite the scardy cat, he let Ishish give him kisses a few times today. Here's proof that they were actually near each other:


In other news, Ishish used a big boy swing for the first time today and did great!
