Yesterday

Yesterday wasn't unusual in any way. I just happened to have my camera with me, so I thought I'd document what we did.

Checking out the neighborhood:

Where does he find room to sleep?

Visiting a different park:

Walking in circles, of course:

This video is long, but I wanted to show it all for Ishish's aunt and uncle who gave him this toy (you might have to manually advance it the first second):

Gardens

Ishish has been enjoying the warm days! That's good because he doesn't like storms. After thunder he says "All done?"

Happy Birthday!

Ishish turned the big 2.0 this weekend! We were happy we could celebrate with a few family members and friends. He thoroughly enjoyed his cake, cards, and presents!

Another Museum

Today we went to a historic museum. Ishish liked playing with the rolling pins, among other things. We're doing so much thanks to the grandfolks visiting!

Big Boy Table

Ishish decided a few weeks ago that he is too big to use the tray that comes with his booster seat. So now we pull it right up to the table. This has led to a few new issues. We're learning to not take food from other people's plates, to not touch other people with our sticky hands, and (ideally) to not spread the mess over the entire table. Here he's peeking at the peach slices he lined up under the paper towel.

He also had fun trying to balance a book on top of his car while pushing it.

Pieces and Counting

Ishish calls puzzles "pieces". He particularly likes playing with the pieces lately and sees them as a big board book, I think. I showed him how to use his stool to reach them.

He's also been practicing counting. He can go up to 10, skipping 7 and 8 every time.

Cats, Part 2

Once again, I'm going to try to keep up with stories for Dada to follow while he's gone. Today Ishish and our other cat, Kiks, had some nice interaction. She let him put blocks on top of her. He mimicked her by relaxing in a sunbeam. She also let him rub his head all over her. That's the most tolerant she's been! The picture I got didn't really turn out, so here's a standard cute one from yesterday.
